Welcome to the Newport Church Faith Works Bible College Course. Faith Works is an extension college of the world-renowned Hillsong Church and Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia. We are one of only a handful of churches in the United States who offer this course. Our evening college comprises of dynamic, faith-building teaching that reveals the believer’s inheritance in Christ Jesus. The course material is easy to understand, with a ‘live-by’ context. This course has been designed to thoroughly ground you and establish you in the Word. It will help you develop an intimate relationship with God and gain confidence in your Christian walk. The Faith Works curriculum is targeted at any Christian seeking to step into a new level in their Christian life and/or leadership.

Term 1 begins at 7pm on Thursday, September 15

• Certification

  Certificates are issued at the end of each academic year, on completion of the course, once all course requirements are complete and course fees paid. On completion of the first year a Certificate in Biblical Studies is awarded. On completion of Year Two, students are awarded an Advanced Certificate in Biblical Studies. Both awards are from Hillsong Faith Works Bible College, part of Hillsong International Leadership College www.hillsong.com, Sydney, Australia. It is only possible to enroll for Year Two having successfully completed Year One of the course.

  
  

• Tuition Fees

  New Students for 2011/2012 school year: $250 per term payable in full upon enrolment or $275 per term payable via payment plan.

  
  

  Payment Plan: $25 deposit payable upon enrolment, followed by 5 payments @ $50 payable each week from September 8th.

• The School Year

  Faith Works follows the school year, from the beginning of September until the end of May. The classes are from 6:30-9:00 pm on Thursday evenings at The Lido Offices. Classes consist of two hours of teaching, divided by a short break. Interaction, questions and discussion are encouraged!

  
  

  We operate in three terms per calendar year: Fall Term, Winter Term and Spring Term.

• Ministry Internships

  Students wishing to apply for a Ministry Internship should do so at time of enrolment. Please note that Ministry Internships are by application only and will be awarded to those who are able to commit to the expectations outlined in the Ministry Internship guidelines.

• Assessment

  1. Student learning is assessed in the first year course through reflection journals.

  
  
  

  2. Students in the second year course through written assessments and a presentation.

  
  
  

  3. Host College [Newport Church] will receive a Hillsong Certificate for all students who successfully complete Faith Works First Year and/or Faith Works Second Year.

  
  
  

  4. All students must complete Year 1 before going on to year 2.

  
  
  

  5. All graduating students will be invited with their families and friends to attend a Graduation Service at Newport Church at the completion of the school year.
